February 2, 2020 Storytelling at its Finest

Storytelling is important and vital to life. True stories, fantasy, or fiction; stories remind us of our humanity, teach us lessons, help us identify and connect with each other. I have discovered that a lot of my favorite music tells stories in various ways and I am personally being pulled in that direction - to tell stories in my music.
The last few months I watched a documentary on how Disneyland and DisneyWorld came to life through one man’s vision and dream. And it was NOT smooth sailing. I watched a documentary on how Star Wars came to life through one man’s vision and dream and it was NOT smooth sailing. He had to fight for his rights and also the integrity of his story. J. K. Rowling’s journey was a rough ride as well.

Look where we are today.
Going after your dreams, visions, and goals does not mean the road will be easy, there are always challenges of various kinds along the way. But that doesn’t mean we give up and stop. If you know in your gut what you need to do, do it. Disney didn’t stop, Lucas didn’t stop. Rowling didn’t stop. And look where we are today.
